Lutterworth Athletic produced a late turnaround to claim a 3–2 victory away at Coventry Copsewood, securing three more valuable points on a sunny Easter Monday at Allard Way.

Following Saturday’s defeat away at Heather St John's, Dan Carter made a number of changes to the starting XI.

After a competitive first half, where the hosts edged the chances, the match sparked into life shortly after the restart.

Atho took the lead in the 54th minute when Abdul Bambah found the net to give Lutterworth the breakthrough.

However, the advantage was short-lived as the hosts responded immediately.

Eden Mukenge levelled the score just two minutes later, before striking again in the 63rd minute to put Coventry Copsewood ahead at 2–1.

Atho changed shape and pushed forward in search of an equaliser, and the pressure paid off in the 81st minute when captain Alex Vineall slotted home from close range to bring Lutterworth back level at 2–2.

The comeback was completed just four minutes later when substitute Adam Shaw latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball, got in behind the defence, and calmly finished to make it 3–2 and put Atho in front late on.

There was still drama to come as Coventry Copsewood pushed hard for an equaliser in stoppage time.

An off-the-ball incident resulted in Lutterworth being reduced to ten men, but Atho defended resolutely in the closing moments to see out a huge victory.

The result marks an eighth win under manager Dan Carter, coming in his 20th match in charge of the club, and provides another positive step as Lutterworth continue their push to finish the season strongly.

Thank you to everyone who made the journey to Allard Way to support the team, your backing on a sunny Easter Monday was greatly appreciated.

Next up for Atho is a home fixture against Bilston Town, which will be the club’s final home match of the 2025/26 season.
