A late equaliser from debutant Dylan Hayes rescued a point in a second half comeback from the Atho in Dan Carter's first match in charge of Lutterworth Athletic in an action-packed match.
The hosts opened the scoring after 10 minutes before doubling their lead on 33 minutes to give the Atho a big hill to come.
A much-improved second half performance saw Adam Shaw grab a goal back on 52 minutes before heroics at the other end of the pitch with Kieran Culley saving a penalty to keep the score at 2-1 to the hosts.
Substitute and debutant Dylan Hayes, who was introduced at half time, then netted the equaliser with 84 minutes on the clock, and the Atho in the ascendancy for the remainder of the match.
The ball crashed the crossbar not once, but twice, in stoppage time as Dan Carter's side were inches away from coming away with three points and completing an almighty turnaround.
Next up for Lutterworth Athletic is a home match against Kirby Muxloe on Saturday 15th November.
