Allexton & New Parks MFL Division One Withdrawal

Allexton & New Parks have formally withdrawn from the Midland Football League Division One 2025/26 season.

The Leicestershire-based side, who Atho faced on three occasions this season, twice in the league and once in the Midland Football League Cup, have taken the difficult step due to a combination of ongoing challenges.

In a statement released by the club, they cite limited resources and the need to act in the wider interests of the club and the league as key reasons for the difficult decision.

As a result of the withdrawal, all league results involving Allexton & New Parks will be expunged.

This means the six points gained by Lutterworth Athletic from victories over the side this season will be removed from the league standings.

The division will now continue with 21 teams, with each side completing 40 fixtures rather than the originally scheduled 42.

While this development impacts the competitive landscape of the league, it also highlights the challenges faced at this level of the game.
