Shay Young Joins Lutterworth Athletic

Lutterworth Athletic FC are pleased to confirm the signing of full-back Shay Young ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Young is no stranger to the Ausden Clark Arena, having a brief spell with the club at the back end of last season.

An academy product of Coventry City, Young featured for the Sky Blues across the youth ranks and made appearances in the FA Youth Cup, with the 21-year-old also spending time developing at Rugby Town.

Having spent some time away from the game, he is back and First Team Manager Dan Carter is delighted to bring him on board.

"Shay is a great player and I'm really pleased to have him signed on with us after we bought him in for a few games at the back end of last season.

"He can play as both a full back and a defensive midfielder and I really want to help him get back to playing at his best."
