Lutterworth Athletic 1-5 Ingles FC

Saturday 1st November 2025

Lutterworth Athletic were defeated 5–1 by Ingles FC in a match that slipped away from the hosts following a ruthless second-half display from the visitors.

Following the midweek League Cup defeat to Allexton & New Parks, Atho made several changes to the starting line-up.

Coming into the side were Ryan Cheshire for his debut, as well as Luke Garner, Adam Shaw, Alex Vineall, and Brandon Williams, as the team looked to freshen things up for the return to league action.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Olen dropped out of the starting XI and new additions Harry Roper and Bakari Furbert were named on the bench.

The first half was a competitive affair, with both sides looking to impose themselves.

However, it was the visitors who struck first just before the break, as Kyle Fowkes found the net in the 40th minute to give Ingles a narrow advantage heading into half-time.

Lutterworth responded positively after the interval and were rewarded early in the second half.

Bradley Coleman brought Atho level in the 48th minute to make it 1–1 and give the hosts renewed belief.

However, the game quickly turned as Ingles shifted through the gears.

Goals from Jordan Holmes and further strikes from Fowkes saw the visitors take control, with Fowkes completing his hat-trick across the second half.

Holmes added another late on to round off a clinical performance in front of goal.

Despite the promising start to the second half, Atho were unable to stem the flow of goals, and the match ultimately got away from them as Ingles capitalised on their chances.

The result leaves Lutterworth still searching for a first home league win of the season after six attempts, sitting just one point above the relegation zone as they look to turn their form around in the coming weeks.

Thank you to everyone who came down to support the team this afternoon, your backing is greatly appreciated.
