PREVIEW: GNG Oadby Town (A) - Lutterworth Athletic

GNG Oadby Town vs Lutterworth Athletic Match Preview

Sunday 30th August 2026

Lutterworth Athletic First Team make the trip to Riverside Football Ground on Bank Holiday Monday to face GNG Oadby Town, with kick-off at 3pm.

Atho come into the fixture on the back of another positive result, securing a 2-1 victory over Ingles in their last outing.

Josh Thompson proved to be the hero, finding the back of the net with a last-minute winner to seal all three points and continue Lutterworth Athletic's strong start to the 2026/27 campaign.

GNG Oadby Town have also made an impressive start to the season, picking up three wins from their opening matches.

Their latest result was a big 5-1 victory away at Chelmsley Town, while their other wins have come on the road against Kirby Muxloe, where they secured a 2-0 victory, and at home to Anstey Town, winning 3-1.

Alongside those three victories, GNG have also picked up draws against Coventry Copsewood and FCV Grace Dieu, meaning they remain unbeaten heading into Monday's fixture.

The two sides did not meet during the 2025/26 season since GNG Oadby Town have only joined the Midland Football League Division One this season.

The quick turnaround will also add an interesting element to the fixture, with both teams having played just 48 hours earlier on Saturday afternoon.

We look forward to seeing as much travelling support as possible at Riverside Football Ground on Monday afternoon.

Any support on the road would be greatly appreciated as Atho look to continue their positive start to the season.
