Non-League Day Returns This Saturday
Non-League Day is back this weekend, giving supporters the perfect chance to get down to their local club and enjoy a different side of football.
First launched in 2010 by James Doe, the idea started as a simple social media campaign and has grown into a well-recognised date in the football calendar.
It takes place during the international break, when many top-flight teams are not in action, encouraging fans to support their local non-league sides instead.
Why Non-League Football Matters
Non-league clubs are at the centre of their communities.
Many are run by volunteers, and the money from matchdays helps fund youth teams, facilities, and local initiatives.
The experience is different from the top levels of the game.
Kick-offs are traditional, ticket prices are affordable, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Supporters are closer to the pitch, closer to the players, and closer to the club itself.
Match Preview
We look forward to welcoming you to the Ausden Clark Arena this Saturday as we take on AFC Bridgnorth in the Midland Football League Division One in an important match to move away from the drop zone.
Atho are looking for a first win in five and have the chance to do the league double over AFC Bridgnorth, having secured a 4-2 win in the reverse thanks to goals from Luke Merrall and Adam Shaw.
Get Involved
If you have never been to a non-league game before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try.
Come down, enjoy the match, and get behind your local community club.
