Lutterworth Athletic’s impressive four-match home winning streak came to an end as they were narrowly defeated 0–1 by local side AFC North Kilworth at Ausden Clark Arena.

A bumper crowd of nearly 200 fans were treated to a competitive and entertaining encounter, highlighting the anticipation of the two sides facing each other.

The only goal of the match arrived early in the second half when Jess Adcock capitalised on a rebound from close range to give the visitors the lead.

Atho threw caution to the wind in pursuit of an equaliser, creating several promising opportunities in the final quarter, but the visiting defence held firm, and the ball just would not find the back of the net.

It was a great showcase for the region, with both teams giving supporters, neutrals and groundhoppers an engaging and spirited contest.

Next up for Atho is a rescheduled away match at Wednesfield Community on Tuesday 2nd February, with a 7:45pm kick-off, as the team look to bounce back in the Midland Football League Division One.
