Lutterworth Athletic 1-3 Allexton & New Parks
Tuesday 28th October 2025
Lutterworth Athletic exited the Midland Football League Cup at the Second Round stage following a 3–1 defeat to Allexton & New Parks.
Manager Ben Steane made several changes to the starting XI from the previous league fixture against Gornal Athletic.
Coming into the side were Ben Blaze, Qubana Clarke-Mills, Bradley Coleman, Luke Merrall, and Alexandre Olen, as the Atho rotated the squad for cup action.
Meanwhile Luke Garner, Scott Smith, and Steane himself dropped out of the starting line-up.
The visitors made a strong start and took control of the game, with Lotredge Muteera proving a constant threat in attack.
Lutterworth responded well and found a way back into the contest in the 24th minute when Alexandre Olen netted to bring Atho level.
However, Allexton & New Parks regained the advantage and continued to press, with Muteera adding a second goal on the night, while Ryan Charles also found the net to put the game beyond reach for the hosts.
Despite moments of promise, Lutterworth were unable to mount a comeback, and the visitors saw out the remainder of the match to secure progression in the competition.
The result means that Atho are now out of all cup competitions, having also exited both the FA Vase and County Cup earlier in the season. Focus for the remainder of the campaign now turns fully to league action.
Next up is an important home fixture against Ingles on Saturday, as Lutterworth look to respond and return to winning ways.
Thank you to everyone who attended the match, your support is greatly appreciated.
