Lutterworth Athletic Football Club is thrilled to announce the launch of a new senior, open-age Ladies team, with the club warmly welcoming the players, coaches and management of Hinckley Ladies as they join the Atho family under a brand-new name: Lutterworth Athletic Women.

It's a hugely exciting moment for the club, and an even bigger one for women's football in and around Lutterworth, opening up fantastic new opportunities for players of all experience levels to get involved in the game locally.

The Story So Far

Hinckley Ladies began life back in 2016 as little more than a group of friends kicking a ball about in the park.

A decade on, and after ten seasons of steady growth and improvement, the club has become something the players and coaches are rightly proud of.

Having played at Ashby Road Sports Club in Hinckley since the very beginning, their continued success meant they'd simply outgrown the space available to them.

To keep building on that progress and support the team's ambitions for the future, the decision was made to move the club across to Lutterworth Athletic.

On-Pitch Progress

Competing in the Women's League Division 2 of the Leicestershire Women's and Girls Football League, the team has shown real progress over recent seasons.

Having finished 5th in the 2024-25 campaign, last season (2025-26) saw a big step forward, with the side finishing 2nd in the 11-team division, picking up a very strong 15 wins from 20 matches across the campaign.

Meet the Management Team

Leading the team into the 2026/27 season is an experienced coaching set-up:

• Manager - Jonny Carpenter

• Team Coach - Scott Callow

• Goalkeeper Coaches - Emma Carpenter & Nik Gray

Jonny returns to management after some time away, and with the coaching team now fully in place, the group is ready to build on previous seasons' successes as they take on the challenges ahead.

Players Wanted - Join the Team

The new team is looking to add to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Experienced and quality players are welcomed, with all positions considered as he looks to build a strong, competitive squad ready to hit the ground running for 2026/27.
